Amit Swami Honors Sanjay Pehalwan Selected for the World Pro Powerlifting Championship

Rewari. Amit Swami Director General of the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, National President of the Young Men’s Association of India and President of the Gym Association Rewari, honoured Sanjay Pehalwan from village Jaliawas for his selection in the upcoming World Pro Powerlifting Championship to be held in Pattaya, Thailand from 27- 29th of November 2025.

Sanjay Pehalwan recently secured a Gold Medal and Strong Man title in the All India Vijay Classic Powerlifting Competition held at Gurugram. Competing in the 100kg weight category, he delivered an outstanding performance by lifting 280kg in deadlift. Based on this remarkable achievement, he has been selected to represent India at the International Championship.

During the felicitation ceremony Amit Swami said that Sanjay Pehalwan is an inspiration for youth, and his hard work, discipline, and dedication have brought pride to the state and nation.Amit Swami expressed confidence that Sanjay will perform exceptionally well in Thailand and win a medal for India.

Sanjay Pehalwan expressed gratitude to Amit Swami, family and supporters, stating that he will give his best to bring glory to the nation at this world championship.
