Rewari’s Dushyant Makes State Proud with Powerlifting Feat

Dushyant, the son of Mukesh Kumar from village Baldhan Kalan in Rewari district, has made the state and district proud by winning a gold medal in the junior category at the powerlifting competition organized by Powerlifting India Federation in Bhiwani from February 7 to 9. Dushyant achieved this feat in the 74 kg weight category by lifting 245 kg in squat, 127.5 kg in bench press, and 245 kg in deadlift.

He met Amit Swami, the director-general of Asian Bodybuilding and Physical Sports, and president of the Gym Association, Rewari, at his residence, where Amit Swami honored Dushyant and said that he achieved this feat through his hard work and determination. Amit Swami also expressed his delight that young people from rural areas are achieving new heights in various fields. He congratulated Dushyant on his achievement and wished him good luck for his future endeavors. Sanjay Pehalwan, a differently- abled powerlifting player from Gram Jaliyawas, was also present on the occasion.
