“Service to Humanity Is Service to God”: Amit Swami

Rewari. Amit Swami, Director General of the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation and National President of the Young Men’s Association of India, celebrated his birthday by distributing warm blankets to the needy and underprivileged in the city. On this occasion, he said, “Service to humanity is service to God. Serving the poor and the needy brings inner joy and awakens the spirit of humanity.” He appealed to everyone to contribute, at their own level, toward helping the underprivileged.

Amit Swami’s noble initiative received widespread appreciation. On his birthday, he was congratulated by several eminent personalities from the world of sports, social service, and international organizations. Those who conveyed their greetings included Datuk Paul Chua, regarded as the father of modern Bodybuilding and Physique Sports; United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres; Chairperson of the Foundation of Sports and Development and Peace (FSDP), Marion Keane; Secretary General of the International Sport and Culture Association, Jacob Schouenborg (Copenhagen); Executive Director of the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, Madam Kristina Wyckham; Secretary General of the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, Sugree Supawarkul; Secretary General of the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, Chetan M. Pathare; IBFF President Swami Ramesh Kumar, Advocate; Padma Shri and Arjuna Awardee, former Mr. Universe Premchand Degra; Arjuna Awardees T. V. Paul and S. It is noteworthy that recently the Indian Body Builders Federation, Mumbai, honored Amit Swami with the IBBF Gold Order Award in recognition of his more than three decades of dedicated contribution to the promotion, development, and growth of Bodybuilding and Physique Sports. Besides these, many prominent personalities from sports, social, business, cultural, and intellectual fields extended their heartfelt wishes to him on his birthday.
