Amit Swami Reiterates Demand for Establishing a Domestic Airport in Bawal

Rewari — Young Men’s Association of India National President and former President of Rewari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Amit Swami, has once again raised the demand for setting up a domestic airport in Bawal. He has written to Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, urging the government to establish the airport under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN) for the convenience of industries and the general public.

In his letter, Amit Swami highlighted that Bawal, located between Delhi and Jaipur, is surrounded by major industrial hubs such as Gurugram, Manesar, Dharuhera, Bhiwadi, Rewari, Shahjahanpur, Neemrana, and Behror, where numerous national and multinational companies are operating. Establishing an airport in Bawal would greatly improve air connectivity for these industrial centers, promoting investment and regional development.

He also mentioned that a Greenfield Airport was earlier proposed in Kotkasim (Rajasthan), but construction there was not feasible. Therefore, Bawal would be a more suitable and strategic location for the project.

Amit Swami emphasized that setting up a domestic airport in Bawal would not only boost industrial growth but also create hundreds of employment opportunities for local residents.

The letter has also been sent to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, State Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goyal, Member of Parliament of Gurugram and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh for their consideration.
