Kokila Kaushik Wins Gold Medal, Makes India Proud

Hisar. Haryana’s daughter and visually impaired judo player Kokila Kaushik has brought glory to India at the international level. At the International Blind Sports Association Judo Grand Prix, held in Giza, Egypt from August 14 to 19, Kokila Kaushik won the gold medal in the 62 kg weight category, making the country proud.

Amit Swami, National President of Youngmen’s Association of India and Director General of the Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation, congratulated Kokila and said this is a historic moment as for the first time any Indian visually impaired judo player has achieved such success. He hailed Kokila as the “Pride of India.”

Amit Swami further said that Kokila’s determination, courage, and hard work have created history. He also extended his congratulations to Kokila’s coach Munawar Anzar and her parents for their support.
