Asha Rani from Rewari Creates History, Wins Four Gold Medals with Four National Records

Rewari, August 13 — Asha Rani, a resident of village Mandola in district Rewari and an accomplished powerlifter, created history at the National Powerlifting Championship held in Auzicode, Kerala, from August 2 to 7, organized by Powerlifting India (PI). Representing Haryana in the Master-1 category, she set four national records and clinched four gold medals in all events she participated in.

She lifted 95 kg in Bench Press, 162.5 kg in Squat, 160 kg in Deadlift, and achieved a total of 413.5 kg overall — each performance setting a new national record and earning her a gold medal.

Upon her return, Asha Rani, along with her coach Kirandeep Singh (resident of Ushmapur), met Amit Swami — Director General of the Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation, National President of Youngmen’s Association of India, and President of Gym Association, Rewari. Amit Swami honored her and said,

“Through her determination, hard work, and dedication, Asha Rani has made not only Rewari but the entire Haryana proud. She is an inspiration for the youth, and I am confident she will continue to bring glory to the nation at the international level.”

Her remarkable achievement has been widely celebrated, with congratulations pouring in from eminent personalities, sportspersons, social organizations, and sports enthusiasts of the region.
