Asha Rani has made the state and Rewari proud in powerlifting: Amit Swami

Asha Rani, a 47-year-old from Rewari, has made the state and region proud by winning 2 gold, 1 bronze, and 1 silver medal in the Masters category of the National Powerlifting Championship held in Indore from July 21 to 26. She set a new national record in the deadlift event by lifting 155 kg. Asha Rani, who is also a handball coach at Rewari’s Rao Tula Ram Stadium, met with Amit Swami, Director General of the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and President of the Gym Association Rewari, who congratulated her on her achievements and expressed hope that she will continue to win medals at the national and international levels. Asha Rani credited her family and coach Kirandeep Singh for her success. Notably, she is the first woman player from Haryana to achieve this feat.
